GENEROSITY CHALLENGE

In 2020 St Bart's Church reached a milestone in its history having stood in Church Road for 170 years serving the local community. The building is in need of urgent repair and renovation, and in 2021 we launched an ambitious three year Generosity Challenge and plan to raise £90,000 by pledges and donations.

Together with Gift Aid we hope to secure matched grants to enable us to do the vital repair and renovation work of our Grade 2 listed building.

The aim of this appeal is to honour the past, serve the present, and provide for the future – to have a safe and welcoming building as we continue as a church to Grow, Serve and Give.

We know that this is a big ask and only by working together can we realise our ambition.

Our ask is this:

170 people to pledge £170 annually for the next three years

If you are a taxpayer, Gift Aid adds an extra £42.50 making that pledge a total of £212.50

How you can pledge:

The easiest way is to click The link below to our Just Giving page where you can make monthly and one-off donations. Please leave us your email details so that we can thank you for your support.

If you would like to ask a question about this appeal then please do get in contact with us by email.

Safe Spaces comprises a team of trained support advocates, who have undergone specialist training in supporting survivors of sexual violence and who have received additional specific training in how the churches respond to abuse cases, the way in which faith and church-related settings have been used to carry out abuse, and the particular issues affecting people who have had or still have, a relationship with the church.

The service is for those who may have experienced any form of abuse, including sexual abuse, physical abuse, financial abuse, psychological abuse (including spiritual abuse), domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour.
